Krishik Seva Kendra® under their joint auspices, held World
Population Day on July 11 at 11 a.m. at Suvarna Arcade, Belthangady.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Kusumadhara, operations
officer. Doctors from the Health Departments of the Panchayat,
Medical Officer Mr. Chandrakant, reporter Mr. Devi Prasad from Jai
Kannadamma Weekly, Ms. Rohini, a community mobilizer from Capuchin
Krishik Seva Kendra and Health Department officials from the taluk
were on the dais.
Doctor Sowjanya gave information about different methods used in
family planning. Ms. Ramya talked about training the daughters of
the family on how to decide to have a child and the physical and
mental preparations needed to plan for the baby.
The students from Prasanna College of Nursing enacted a skit to
raise awareness about family planning. Altogether, 100 people from
Belthangady Taluk attended this programme and gained knowledge.
