Kendra® Vimukti, and ChildFund in its joint venture along with
Department of Women and Child Development, Belthangady and Health
and Family Welfare Department, Taluk Health Office, Belthangady
held“World Breast Feeding week”programme in CKSK and in 15 selected
AnganawadiCentres of the project area namely Kuntalpalke, Belal,
Kanyadi-1, Bedrabettu, Perlabaipady, Kalmanja, Guripalla, Killur,
Adurperal, Kallaje, Chandkur, Balyarottu, Koppadabilu and at Bajila.
“Enabling Breastfeeding- Making a difference for working parents”
under this Slogan “World breast feeding week – 2023” was carried
out. The main motto of this was to create awareness about
breast-feeding in the work places for women and the importance of
breast-feeding, which provides vital health and nutritional benefits
for children with positive lifelong impacts, building a healthier
population and workforce for work. In these programs, a Field
Education Health Officer, Community Health Officer, Primary Health
Care Officer, ASHA workers, Women and children Welfare Association
Supervisors and CKSK staff educated almost 304 pregnant and
lactating mothers, Post-natal care givers and also the parents of
anganawadi children.
