Vimukti SHG Trust
celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm,
highlighting the rights of women and the contribution of women in
various fields. The event is held at Vimukti Sabhabhavan on the 16th
of March, 2025.
The program commenced with a prayer song followed by the
inauguration by Mrs. Rathnavathi P. Lokesh, retired senior
supervisor and nodal officer, Department of Child Development,
Belthangady who emphasized the importance of availing all facilities
provided by the government.
The chief guest of the program Mrs. Pinky Vijetha, Advocate,
Moodabidire also the former judge, described the financial
independence of women by sharing various incidents. She also
stressed the fact that nothing stands as an obstacle in front of
one’s willpower.
The honorary president of the program and the director of the
organization, Rev. Fr. Vinod Mascarenhas spoke, about the inequality
that starts at home and emphasized stopping it from the roots so
that the nation grows peacefully.
The president of the program Mrs. Shali, President, Vimukti SHG
Trust spoke on the history of the celebration of Women’s day.
Mrs. Rathnavathi P. Lokesh was honored for her achievements in her
field.
Prizes were distributed for the winners of the competitions held
with respect to Womens day. Mementoes were distributed to the
guests.
Mrs. Mohini compered the program, Mrs. Prameela welcomed the guests,
Mrs. Laveen conducted fun games and Mrs. Annamma gave a vote of
thanks.
